Lockdown Smiles For some Ward 84 Children

With lockdown in full swing and all the children of the ward in complete isolation only being able to leave the house  to go to the hospital for treatment we decided that we needed to try and do something to bring a little smile to some of the faces of Ward 84. Theres nothing we can do to take away the fear or the pain they face everyday, especially through this tough time but there is something we decided to do to bring a smile to the childrens faces. We started a campaign to send gifts to as many children from Ward 84, Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital as possible that are currently going through treatment, are in the 6 month remission period, or have long term health issues and have been made to completely isolate. We were contacted by 70 families and were able to send a gift to each child, they were able to choose either a toy or arts and craft pack (all gifts were ordered directly to the children, no social distancing rules were broken).

There were many beautiful smiles made and some families were happy for us to share their photo’s with our supporters. What beautiful smiling faces 🙂
